With his proud handler bar mustache Chan Jaran ngamdee the hero of the Thai historical epic bang Rajan looks like looks as if he should be crooming in a barbershop quartet rather than leading an improvised army of villagers against invading Burnese troops. The film is set in 1765 when the Burnese king sent 200000 troops into the Siamese capital Ayudhaya to put down a challenge to his regional authority.
